Privacy Notice

How we collect and use personal data, in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

Who we are

Animashaun Adetola & Co. (Chartered Accountants) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Our address is 17-19 Allen Avenue, Suite 5, 5th Floor, Oshopey Plaza, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria. You can reach us at aaandcoaudits@gmail.com or on +234 708 096 1254.

Personal data we collect

Through our enquiry, proposal, confidential, recruitment and newsletter forms we collect the details you type in (such as your name, organisation, email, phone number, the matter you describe) and any file you upload (such as a CV or prior-year accounts). We do not set analytics cookies unless you accept them.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your details to respond to your enquiry, prepare a proposal, assess a job application or send updates you asked for. Our lawful basis is your consent, and, for responding to a request you make, taking steps at your request.

Who receives it

Only the partners and staff who need it. We use service providers to run the site and deliver email: our website host (Vercel), our email delivery provider (Resend) and, for published content, Sanity. They process data only on our instructions.

Transfers outside Nigeria

Some of these providers store or process data outside Nigeria. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

How long we keep it

Recruitment data is kept for 12 months, with your consent. Enquiry and proposal details are kept for as long as needed to respond and to keep proper records of our professional work, then deleted.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy in a portable form, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Write to us at the address above.

Security

We use HTTPS, restrict access to those who need it and treat confidential enquiries as visible only to the Managing Partner. No method of transmission is completely secure, so please do not send passwords or full account numbers through our forms.

Complaints

You may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission if you believe we have mishandled your data. We would welcome the chance to put things right first.
